The Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's £3m wedding

The Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's £3m wedding

A fake chateau, a swimming pool dyed pink, special forces on standby, megabucks media deals and perfumed rooms to keep the smell of sewage at bay.
Welcome to one of the wackiest celebrity weddings ever as the world’s No1 reality TV star marries a hip-hop icon.
Forget Posh and Becks, Katie and Peter or even Kate and Wills – Kim Kardashian’s nuptials are from another planet.
On Saturday, she will tie the knot with Kanye West, 36, whose latest album Yeezus is a global smash.
The guest list boasts music royalty like Jay-Z and wife Beyoncé, Kim’s baby daughter North and her sisters Khloe and Kourtney who co-star with her in At Home With The Kardashians – the world’s most-watched reality show.
There’s a cloak of secrecy about exactly where the couple will exchange vows on Saturday.
The guests have been told only to turn up to a palatial estate on the edge of Paris on Friday.
The Chateau Louis XIV is a maze of marbled rooms and even has a moat with an underwater glass-domed room where guests can look at the exotic fish swimming above them.
But it’s not nearly as historic as it sounds – the huge pile was built between 2008 and 2011.
And it stands close to a large – and smelly – sewage works.
But Kim, 33, refuses to be fazed by any setbacks in her plan to mark her third wedding in spectacular style and has ordered the chateau’s air-conditioning to be scented.

Kanye, meanwhile, is getting the water in the chateau’s pool dyed pink – his bride’s favourite colour.
On Saturday it is believed the weekend could take an elaborate twist, with guests being flown in private jets to Florence, the Italian city where North was conceived.
A spokeswoman for the mayor of Florence today appeared to confirm the pair – who are worth £100million – will be married there by a Protestant minister.
They are said to have hired the imposing 16th-century Belvedere Fort, which has a luxurious villa within its massive walls.
But all that’s known for sure is that friends and family have been asked to make their way to France by Friday evening.
The rest is a mystery, although guests suspect there is also a back-up venue booked in Paris in case of emergencies.
Whatever the final schedule, the planning has been a nightmare.

Kimye – as the pair are now known – only recently heard about the sewage plant just outside the chateau’s 57-acre grounds.
Couples who have wed at the stately venue have complained about the stink – dubbed Le Pong.
So in a bid to neutralise nasty niffs, the pair are paying perfumiers to pump powerful scents into the air-con system.
A chateau staffer confided: “Kim and Kanye were worrying about this – they didn’t want their party feeling Le Pong so they have gone to great lengths to make sure the place smells lovely.”
Kimye have also gone to great lengths over security.
They have asked the authorities to stop paparazzi using choppers to snap any of their celebrations because it might jeopardise the £12million that experts forecast the newlyweds will pocket from broadcast and magazine deals.

The couple are expected to make a TV show of their wedding to be screened on the E! network, which also airs Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Kanye is understood to want to produce and direct it himself.
And exclusive photos of the wedding weekend are to be sold to top American glossy magazine Vanity Fair.
In France, officials are said to have put their SAS-style 4th Special Forces Helicopter Regiment on standby to foil photographers – but have warned the couple they’ll have to pick up the bill for the elite squad’s services.
The total cost of the wedding is now set to be more than £3million. We wish them the best
